Learn to Appreciate Technology (Comedy)

(Updated November 14th)

PHEW! When it rains it pours, and we have been busier than ever trying to meet the demands for technology resources. Projectors and Document Cameras are being installed in classrooms throughout both schools, with the goal of all equipment being installed before the December holiday break. More than ever it is important to plan ahead, test the technology and contact Eric with questions or for support in advance of your planned project.

We continue to struggle with wireless issues on the new HP laptops at Crossett Brook. See FAQ for status.

Installation of a new server environment at CBMS is now scheduled to begin Friday, November 20th. It is likely that there will not be network access that weekend and through 'til late morning on Monday the 23rd.

LCD projectors and document cameras have arrived and we are beginning installation in rooms that are physically ready or where equipment has been previously used.

Our Technology Department includes two full-time staff members. Eric Hall, our Technology Coordinator, is the main "point of contact" for all tech requests and handles user needs including application training, collaborative planning, 1:1 professional development, classroom and lab support.  Support and appointments can be arranged Mon/Weds at Crossett Brook and Tues/Thurs at Thatcher Brook. Fridays are split between the two schools as needed. Our Technology Assistant Keith Puffer is responsible for hardware, software, and network maintenance as well as installation and upgrades. Please contact Eric to get your maintenance requests "on the list." We do our best to address requests as soon as possible, and it works better for us if we have one point of contact.
